Families Say the System Has Failed the Victims

According to investigators, Morris and Dawson are not Epperson's only alleged victims. During court testimony in July, prosecutors also referenced Hilory Davis, who was found dead from an overdose at the Lexington Super 8 Hotel in November 2024.

Additional Allegations
After investigative reporting highlighted Davis' story, Heather Shelton came forward alleging that Epperson drugged and raped her in March 2025.
Epperson has not been charged in Davis' death or in Shelton's alleged sexual assault. At this time, the federal charges against him relate only to the deaths of Dawson and Morris.
